Project Overview

While working for another firm, I provided comprehensive design and project management for an ongoing General Engineering Contract for the City of Charlotte’s sidewalk projects.

Project Challenges and Successes

The project successfully addressed sidewalk conditions in compliance with ADA standards and the NCDOT Roadway Design Manual. We strategically placed pedestrian refuges to enhance overall safety and implement traffic calming measures along a busy roadway. Both natural and manmade drainage features were meticulously considered to optimize safety. Collaboration with the City of Charlotte and property owners was pivotal in improving functionality and enhancing the overall aesthetics of the communities.
